You know. there are worse things to be called, he decides, and lets the moment pass. Because it was absolutely not something he thought to be 'too much'--zulius liked Big City shit and Kaisou was a fucking mess right now--going to a different, not-wrecked city made a lot of sense.

To him.

Curb the feeling of loss of his own hotel being half-wrecked by visiting a different one while away from all the stress and tangle? Made sense.

It's what his family would do.

I'll allow you proper time to outdo me. I'm more than certain you're capable of it, but I will take my victory crown for as long as I can hold it.

Truth be told, I have never been.

It's honestly a deeply thoughtful date. It's SUPER extra, but honestly, he's come to expect Vergil being extra in really... endearing but awkward ways. He loves New York, he loves the theatre- this is a real treat for him! He's extremely touched by all of it. ]

I'm gonna let you crow about it for a little while. Like. A minimal amount of crowing- as a treat. Because you did do a pretty sneaky job on this one, Handsome.

[He'll follow Vergil along- real glad for the private jet. He hasn't actually flown since the whole...centauring, and he really doesn't like the idea of trying to push himself into a regular aeroplane seat. It would be super uncomfortable.

But as Vergil says that, his ears perk up, hidden by the illusion. And slowly, a plan is forming. A plan to get back (lovingly) for this trickery. Or...at least make things a little even. He's gonna just grin to himself as he plots, moving to slip his arm around Vergil's as they walk.]

That is a fact.
Despite the fact that I buy, sell, and trade vintage goods and old artifacts worldwide, I am not as well travelled as someone as, say, Gil is. I have been to many places in Europe, and even to China and Hong Kong. But moving to Kaisou was my first step into North America.

...Which is why my father calls once a week asking when I will be going home.

It IS weird to see Vergil without his ever-present sword, but he would rather them be able to get through security and actually get to go on vacay instead of spending it in a holding cell. But yes, this is good. He knows the PERFECT place to take Vergil. He might be letting Vergil wear the crown on this one, but he's still gonna throw something at him that's full of love an affection and Vergil can do nothing about it. ]

I know somewhere we need to visit, a MUST see. And that's pretty neat! I got to see plenty of places when I was a kid and mom or dad were on location, but spending hours on a film set instead of actually visiting other countries isn't exactly the same, y'know? But boo to your dad anyway. He doesn't get to dictate that.

Zulius had been--and always will be--the more thoughtful of the two of them, merely because he's certain this man runs on the power of love or something. But all the same, he's curious about what the other has planned already. ]

I would say being stuck 'on set' made visiting any country irritating. Were you even allowed to leave the set and get up to your own ... 'shenanigans.' [ that word felt weird to say. ]

Also, yes. He will one day have to settle with the idea that I plan on living here until the heat death of the universe.

[He absolutely runs on the power of love, it feeds him. It'll be a fun surprise for Vergil. Zulius will let him take the W on this one- it's a really touching gesture- but he'll make sure he gets a good emotional slam dunk in there too. His pride demands it.

Also wanting to see Vergil react to an old-ass library full of Blake stuff and give him some much-needed joy in his life. That too. He's got it bad and he wants Vergil to be happy, sue him. ]

Nuh-uh, Mom doesn't approve of the sort of shenanigans I get into. She let me out like, once when I was sixteen and even then I had a minder.
