Verg! Boyfriend, antique dealer, part devil. He has the social skills of someone who's only just learned what social skills even are and needs a ton of time to himself. Biggest fussport fun police there is. TOTAL opposite of me, but that's okay, it's actually pretty endearing. And honestly, it's nice to have someone I don't have to be ON for all the time. He makes me feel safe and is p.calming to be around- been a WHILE since I could trust someone like that. Really counting on him here not to break my freaking heart because I'm stupid in love with him. Pretty sure I'm in this for the long haul. He got kidnapped and experimented on by Krusnik which was freaking awful and I hope they stay SUPER dead for that. He needs to be WAY less critical of himself and let himself be happy. Working on helping him with that. Been learning Italian for him- languages are freaking HARD but the Duolingo Owl says I'm doing great. He means the world to me and if anyone makes him sad I'm gonna ruin their ENTIRE career.
Bestie, Vogue worker, literal God. He's the God of Freedom and the WIND and boy can you tell! Venti is honestly one of the most fun people to be around. He's a blast and an absolute sweetie to boot! He's gone through some pretty rough past life stuff and is SUCH an inspiration for how he picks himself up and gets through it. I know I can talk to him about ANYTHING and hope that goes both ways. We all need someone to be there to help when the shit hits the fan after all! We both got that "this is fine" habit going on when stuff gets bad, but at least we can work on that shit together. He's full of the BEST kind of mischief and I totes love that for him. And for me, when I come along for the ride, which I will EVERY time.
Bestie, Vogue worker. Vash comes from what honestly sounds like the worst world in the history of ever. We're talking deserts- post-apocalyptic nastiness. DESPITE this, he is like, the sweetest, gentlest man I have ever met. He is a golden retriever in tree-person form and wants to make friends with everyone he meets. Genuinely the best bartender I've ever had- profits have gone WAY up since he showed up. He's got those FRIEND VIBES coming out the wazoo. I worry he tries to spread himself too thin, pleasing and being good to everyone- he seriously needs to give himself permission to be selfish sometimes, I think. Like it deffo won't kill him to say no and put himself first once in a while, y'know? Probs will never happen, though, just not in his nature. Really glad to have him around. He's a real bright spot in this whole city.
Rosey! Bestie, Vogue worker, sunshine incarnate. Rose is one of the sweetest people I know. She's been through A LOT a lot since coming to the city, and she never lets it keep her down. SURE it hurts her way more than she lets on, like, I see through you Sweetness! She's literally died on my back trying to help me and then a bunch of monsters used her to get me killed. You know, the sort of stuff that'll haunt a guy forever. Then she got kidnapped AGAIN and I had to fight her shadow with love until she stopped being an angsty B and ate a Snickers. Despite ALL the trauma we've gone through together (and maybe because of it??) she's someone who'll ALWAYS have me in her corner- I would and HAVE jumped through hell for her. She's good people. Best people.
Friend, the dumbest smart man alive. Zhongli is another actual for realsies god. This time a god of contracts and like...rocks? Apparently, he used to deal with contract breakers by dropping massive rocks on them which is kind of OVERKILL. I got him to look at the Vogue's paperwork but made it SUPER clear we don't wanna do any rock-based punishments here. He's also a dragon- but that's way less exciting than it sounds. He's kind of a dumb noodle lizard, TBH. Also does not understand how money works. Despite all that, he's actually a super trustworthy friend and I love him a lot. I know I can go to him for ANY advice and not only will he keep that to himself, but he can give something that can help. Even if it's like, surrounded by weird metaphors and copious amounts of tea (the drinking kind). Got a voice like HONEY. Also defaced his statue with Vergil, oops :)
Friend, Vogue worker. Be nice to him, he's got the anxieties!!! One of my earlier experiences with Takame was going into his mind palace thing and dealing with all the badness that lives in his head. There's SO much of it. Despite this, he keeps getting up every morning and is always willing to help anyone out if they need it. He's a bonafide Big Damn Hero, however much he tries to deny it. He's awkward and bad at people, but honestly, I'm used to that. Wish he would be nicer about himself. You just gotta give him time and gentle patience. I can always count on him with that adorable awkward patience of his, and also sometimes when he gets tired of being nice and decides to go apeshit instead. Honestly, though, he does so much - I wish I could give him a big hug every day.
El! Friend, Vogue worker. Elliot is an absolute S Class musician who brings the orchestra pit up to a whole new level whenever he's down there. Honestly, I think most of the staff fear him and I for sure will never touch any of the instruments in my own building ever again. Those belong to Elliot now. He's also a music teacher which makes him the most patient man alive. Despite that, he is NOT afraid to speak his mind and I love him for that. He knows where all the best tea is, if I missed some spilt tea, I know I can go to him and he FOR SURE won't have missed it. I slept with this dad once and he was PRETTY salty about that, but we're okay now. Unless he's biding his time to get me when I least expect it, which I would NOT put past him TBH.
Sugartits! Friend, part devil. Vergil's twin brother somehow. He got all of the social skills but none of the personal hygiene so I guess the dice you gotta roll with these guys. He's funny as heck, the absolute life of ANY party. Sure, he's a massive showboat, but that's part of his charm and if you're not gonna do a weird little dance when you're fighting monsters, when ARE you gonna do one? He's loyal as hell and I know he'd have my corner whenever I need it. He's the reason I got a human disguise so I owe him big time. Even if it was just to annoy Vergil, which hey, that's always a good time for everyone! He's basically family now, he's stuck with me if he likes it or not- though TBH I think he likes it, we have a BLAST together.
Nick! Friend, occasional Vogue lurker. He comes from the same (but not quite???) fuckass world that Vash does. He's had an absolute trash life and honestly, I cannot blame him two seconds for chainsmoking as much as he does after all that. He's dry as the desert he came from, but a true blue friend. Has this giant cross gun which is SUPER extra, but you do you, Nick. Great guy to have a conversation with, he's got some real smart insight in that noggin of his, even if it's kinda maudlin sometimes. I went into this mind dungeon to help him out and holy cow has he been Through It. It only makes me wanna stick in his corner even MORE now.
Awkward but nice kid. I can tell he's TRYING. They got major stage fright which is a heck of a shame because their drag game is on POINT. Maybe one day I can help them with that? I'm P.sure he's that "Shroud" character who lurks about the rooftops like Weaboo Batman. But they're obvi wanting to keep their identity secret, so I'll keep quiet about it. But I connected those dots, kid. I CONNECTED them. Not afraid to tattle on friends not looking after themselves properly- thanks, Kid!
Ed! Bestie, Vogue worker, actual pirate. He's from like, ye olde times and has a pirate ship and everything- it was super unsurprising to learn Hollywood got everything about pirates wrong. I gave him a house to save him from living in the shady-ass Zodiac apartments. He's an absolute fucking disaster man (affectionate) who dives into danger with RECKLESS abandon. Super wish he'd stop doing that. I know he carries a whole lot of guilt about people he couldn't save from dying (myself included) and I wish he wouldn't. He's a GOOD guy who doesn't deserve to carry all that weight around him. He's the reason I have a barrel of rum of doubtful portability. Wish he would stop jumping off high things, it gives me anxiety!!
Diddy! Friend. Is some sort of ancient knight. Verg got really excited about him so apparently he's some kind of BIG deal. Super serious, but he's for sure learned how to unwind since I first met him- so proud of time!!!! He's stalwart like anything! He's really proper and old-timey, doesn't like nicknames but sucks to be him, he's stuck with it forever. I know I could call him up for literally anything and he would be here to help in a second.
Gil! Friend, is probably the richest man in the universe. He plays a pretty good game at pretending he doesn't care about people, but it's SUPER obvious he does- I see THROUGH you, Mister! He's generous with his time and money if you're close enough to him. Sure, he'll grumble and whine about it, but it's not like anyone's got a gun to his head. I super 'prece what wisdom he's got to say- he's surprisingly insightful for a rich guy (and I say that as another rich guy, no shade) and I'm glad to have him in my corner! Plus he's fun to irritate Verg with- friends gotta have shared hobbies!
Friend, academy runner. He's a teacher at the university which is honestly a madness I will never understand. I swear to god, he's trying to juggle as many plates as he can, and then for funsies he sets those plates on fire. Really hope he doesn't burn himself out. Sense of humour that's dry as hell but who can blame him tbh. He gave me somewhere safe to stay when the Vogue was attacked and I'll always be super thankful about that.
Friend, academy runner. August is like that permanently exhausted pigeon meme, except he's a raven. Crow??? Whichever bird he turns into, idk. He's one of the seers in this hellhole city and frankly deserves a goddamn medal just for handling that every month. He's also a FABulous tailor- he's managed to make a couple outfits for my awkward centaur body, bless his HEART.
Vogue worker. I've only known Furina for a set amount of time but if anything happened to her I wouldn't kill anyone in this room because I'm a pacifist and then not myself because I am too fabulous, but the feeling is there. She's an absolute SWEETHEART. So glad I snapped (ha ha) her up for the Vogue. She's just adorable as hell and has a cute little dancing crab friend! What's not to love!!! She's an arcon like Zhongli and Venti but I will NOT deface her statue because she's just the cutest patootie.
Vogue worker. What an adorable little weirdo he is. Seems to be super cursed with bad luck. Was a KPOP star before he came to Kaisou. Elliot found him and pointed him my way and I TOTES dragged him to the Vogue. He's awkward and shy but he's working hard on that! He's got pretty impressive fighting skills and is as loyal as anyone you'd wanna meet. His luck is SUPER against him but life is sometimes like that.
Vogue worker. A cutie patootie with a heck of a set of pipes to go with it! She fits in great! She just needs to get herself a confidence boost and she will be GOLDEN. And I guess I needed another slightly odd Italian in my life. She isn't afraid to kick someone's (Edward's) ass if they don't look after themselves, I couldn't ask for a better person to tag team talking sense into idiots with. She's got a GORGEOUS other form I am determined to build her confidence about.

Friend. Absolutely fabulous artist- MEGA talent there. He's kind of socially awkward and doesn't get out a whole lot, but he's always totes a delight to talk to when I see him. Honestly, THE person to go to for any art stuff- appreciates BEAUTY.
GRUMPUS!! He might be the grouchiest person I've ever met in THIS life. Unfortunately for him, he's not the grumpiest person I've met in either life. He's got nothing on Ched and all his prickly nonsense will NOT deter me. The sooner he accepts this, the better it'll be for everyone TBH. He's obviously got some SERIOUS issues and if he just lets me befriend him I can totes help with that. Just dealing with this like socialising a spicy feral kitten.
